TWO OF IBYC’S FINEST
Kevin Archibald on keyboard and Gordon Hazel on guitar They play a very important role at IBYC in heading the music division. They came to IBYC in their early teenage years and have been with us since. God is pleased with a variety of musical instruments and styles. However we don’t want to copy or confuse the world with our music. IBYC recognizes that musical tastes differ among spirit-filled Christians and makes allowances for these differences within certain guidelines. We do not presume to tell delegates what kind of music they should or should not listen to in their homes or individual Churches. However, we are responsible for what happens on the platform of IBYC. We want to stay on the conservative side of all musical styles. WE do not want to offend anyone who comes to our conference. We must love one another. Unity is essential for strength. Music has become a very effective tool in the hands of Satan to divide and weaken God’s children today. If push comes to shove, we need unity and love – we are told plainly to seek those things which make for peace. Music is non-essential and as such, can be done without if we cannot find common ground with which the majority of us can feel comfortable with one another. Let’s keep our priority straight at IBYC. ALL MUSIC IS UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE LOCAL CHURCHES, AND AS SUCH, IS SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL OF THE HOST PASTORS.
